Cookie Policy

Template notice. A starting-point cookie policy for Ask Bob — review with counsel and confirm against your live cookie set before production use.
1. Our approach
We keep cookies to the minimum. Ask Bob sets only strictly-necessary cookies — the ones required to sign you in, keep your session secure, and remember your cookie choice. We do not use analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking cookies, and we load no third-party trackers by default. Because nothing non-essential runs without your consent, the choice you make in the banner is opt-in.
2. Cookies we use
| Cookie / store | Purpose | Type | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Authentication / session | Keeps you signed in securely between pages | Strictly necessary | Session / up to 30 days |
| Security token | Protects against cross-site request forgery | Strictly necessary | Session |
ab_cookie_consent | Remembers your cookie choice (local storage) | Strictly necessary | 12 months |
3. What we don’t use
No advertising or marketing cookies. No third-party analytics that profile you. No cross-site tracking. If that ever changes, we will request your consent first and list any new cookies here before they run.
4. Managing your choice
You can change your decision at any time using the cookie settings link (also in the footer of every page). You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings — note that disabling strictly-necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in.
5. More information
